Thanks to the generous support of our parents in the past, some of the purchases we have made for our children are, wet play toys, playground toys, cameras and whiteboards. We have funded performances by touring theatre companies, and we donate money termly to the School Council to use on projects chosen by the children. Every year we provide the Year 6 children with autograph books and we pay for their Leavers Book which is a wonderful memento of their time with us.
We hold our Annual General Meeting in June. All parents are invited to come along and take part in the proceedings. We elect a committee of up to 16 members including a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Treasurer, Membership Secretary and Secretary. Monthly meetings are held usually on the first Tuesday evening of every month during term time, and as far as practicable we try to have a parent from each year group as members of the Committee. New parents are always welcome to join the Parents’ Association Committee, and we do hope you will come along to our AGM in June, especially if you would like to find out more about us.
We will be keeping in touch with you via the school Weekly Bulletin and by email (using your details in the Contact Database). You are welcome to contact us by e-mail, email@example.com, or by using the blue post box, located by the school gate, to communicate with us. Contact details are published in the back of the Termly Calendar which is distributed to each child.
PA Contact Database
We recently collated a Contact Database to enable the PA Committee to communicate with parents by email, distribute class lists at the beginning of the School Year and share parent contact information within your child's year. If you would like to find out how to be part of the Contact Database or you wish to update your details, please email the PA at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It is only through the support and contributions from our parents that the Parents’ Association is able to do so much for the children. Please keep an eye out for our appeals or events and do get involved or contribute when you can.
